I am an early career virologist with a strong interest in public health and infectious disease research. Currently, I am working as a research assistant at the Institute Pasteur of Cambodia. I obtained my BSc in biomedical sciences at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, followed by an MSc in Microbiology (Virology) at the Institut Pasteur of Shanghai (University of Chinese Academy of Science), China.
My expertise lies in designing and developing novel pathogen detection techniques, conducting molecular characterization, and carrying out disease survey studies aimed at preventing and controlling novel and re-emerging tropical infectious diseases. As a member of BBPS Kenya mentorship program, I look forward to providing mentorship in research, career and in academics.
