Theme: Harnessing Research and Innovation towards Water, Food Security and Safe Sanitation for a Resilient and Sustainable Africa

The Pan African University is convening its 3rd Annual International Conference, bringing together researchers, policy-makers, industry leaders, development partners, students, and alumni from across its four institutes. The gathering showcases African Union–funded research and Institute-led innovation in line with AU Agenda 2063, anchored on the AU's 2026 Theme of the Year on sustainable water availability and safe sanitation. Sessions will explore practical solutions, funding pathways, and cross-sector partnerships for building resilience across the continent.

Important dates

Author guidelines (summary)

1. Abstracts must follow the official conference template: English, Times New Roman, max 1 page (500 words)
2. Title bold, size 12, centered; author names in full; affiliations with institution and country
3. Only the corresponding author's email should be listed
4. Body should cover introduction, methodology, results, and conclusions/recommendations, with 3–5 keywords
5. File naming: PAU2026_Abstract_[Surname].docx
6. Submission requires a free CMT (Microsoft) account
