Applications are invited for the FunGen Africa Masterclass, an innovative postgraduate training programme designed to equip the next generation of African and international scientists with advanced knowledge and skills in functional genomics and its applications in health research. The programme is being offered through a collaboration between leading European and African institutions under the ENLIGHT+ Alliance and the CoRE-Genomics for Health in Africa (CoRE-GHA) initiative.
The FunGen Africa Masterclass focuses on bridging the gap between genomic discoveries and their practical application in healthcare. The course addresses critical topics in genomics, bioinformatics, structural biology, clinical genomics, and the genetics of infectious and rare diseases, with a special emphasis on African health challenges and research priorities.
Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how genomic data can be translated into meaningful biological insights and clinical applications, helping to address pressing health issues across the continent.
